Vocaloid
static miku
1
**"Static Miku"** refers to the distinct, stylized design of **Hatsune Miku** as she appears in the hit original Vocaloid song **"Static"** by the music group **Flavor Foley** (featuring Hatsune Miku V4 English).
### Key Characteristics of this Version:
* **Visual Style:** Unlike her traditional sleek, high-definition anime appearance, "Static" Miku features a retro, cartoonish, rubber-hose/clown-inspired art style created by artist *rice*. She has a heavily exaggerated, manic expression with wide eyes, flushed circular red cheeks, a bright yellow bowtie, a blue coat with colored buttons, and signature teal pigtails shaped like musical notes or looping squiggles.
* **Personality & Role:** In the music video, she acts as an overly energetic, clingy, and desperate television broadcast host trapped inside a CRT screen. She pushes the viewer not to "change the channel" or touch the dial, desperately clinging to nostalgia and relevance as her persona and the broadcast start to glitch and fall apart.
* **Fandom Popularity:** The unique retro design and unsettling, hyperactive-yet-tragic vibe of the music video made the character a massive hit across social media, inspiring widespread fan art, animations, and character design discussions.
