Main article: OuteR: Automata Transported to a world different yet similar to her own, A2 is greeted by a woman clad in heavy armor. Though she calls herself a Nikke and doesn't appear hostile, she knows of a place that can return the Android back home. The two agree to find a transporter, though A2 is cautious of her new ally. Bond story Canonically set during the events of OuteR: Automata's side story Episode 1 - A Little Bird A2 and a Product 12 unit that she named "P-12" were exploring a factory in search of a transporter so the Android can return to her home world. The two are surprised at how big the facility is, but it had a lot of materials inside of it. A2 draws her guide's attention to a tiny object on the ground. The Nikke goes to examine it and after hearing some chirping, the two realize they found a small bird. It seems to be exhausted and malnourished. A2 wanted them to continue looking for their objective, but P-12 hinted she wanted to care for the fledgling. Though it may be safe from the Raptures as they don't intentionally target animals, it will probably starve to death if they abandon it. Though A2 wants them to find the transporter as quickly as possible, P-12 believes she can look after it while they explore. She carries the bird in her hands and A2 is indifferent to her decision. After handing A2 the small animal, P-12 went to find a puddle to quench its thirst, before the former could protest. The Android noticed the bird stops chirping when fully exhausted, but it is boisterous right now. While it rests comfortably in her palm, it holds her attention until her companion returns...
