Andie

Andie is the tritagonist of The Nut Job franchise. She is a red squirrel, who is Surly's girlfriend. In the first film, Surly and Andie were rivals, because Surly wanted the food only for himself while Andie wanted food for the park, that resulting in competitions. Andie hates Surly's selfishness and tries unsuccessfully to make him change his attitude. Andie is a caring, responsible, and compassionate squirrel who is both serious and heroic. She is intelligent, witty, and practical, disliking greed and selfishness. Andie is also loving, supportive, and an empathetic leader for the park animals, serving as Surly's love interest and eventually girlfriend.
