I woke up in a daze, my eyes snapped open in a panic but everything was hazy. My vision cleared more with every breath I took but my chest was heaving and my body writhing. My eyes connected with a cord, following it to…my arm. My arm was gone…replaced by…sleek metal and black cords. • The next two weeks went by so fast it was all a blur. I learned my name was Anthem Valc and I had been in some sort of horrible accident. I had died but they’d brought me back and managed to replace my arm with…a hunk of metal. I don’t remember anything, my entire memory of anything before waking up was shattered. Bits and pieces slipped out here and there but they were just shards of someone laughing or crying, sometimes a splinter of a face or a warm embrace. Nothing helpful though. • The facility was huge and somewhat endless so I spent most my days wandering the halls with no real goal. • Two weeks turned to three and four and soon i’d been there for two months. They kept working with me to improve my use of the prosthetic arm but i mostly just refused to. I didn’t want to face the reality that my arm was really gone. • One random day unlike any other I was taking my through the facility when I suddenly found a new hallway i’d never been in. It led me to a big locked door, I pressed my hand to the sensor but it refused. Puzzled, I pressed my metal hand to it and it hissed and began to open. • Be whatever you want. • (hate ya💋)
*I quickly managed to slip into the room and shut the door behind me, something about this felt…wrong. So id better not get caught. I turn around and feel my heart stop, my mind couldn’t even process what I was seeing. Rows and rows of endless glowing tubes filled with…people. Normal looking people, asleep, with tubes connected to them.* Oh my god…
