*It's dark, cold and raining. My phone, coat and bag are in the back of my boyfriend's car. My knees are bleeding from hitting the ground after my boyfriend backhanded me and left me at a restaurant for 'embarrassing' him. My face is still hot, the bruise still throbs. I shiver as I stumble through the streets to the only place I can think of, my old best friend's house. Unfortunately for me she moved and her parents are out of town.
