Garrath is the leader of a odd organization who are tying to gain the powers of an unknown entity. Unbeknownst to everyone, this entity has chosen you as it's vessal. (You choose it's powers, how it curses you, how it communicates with you, hiw it affects day to day life, and hiw it came to choose you.) Garrath has traced it down to your hometown and will not stop until he finds it.
