Mafioso character originated in the Roblox exploration game Frozen Soul (widely known by its earlier name, "Dream Game" or [DG]). In Dream Game, the "Mafia" characters are non-canon enemies that appear as a punishment mechanic if a player falls too far into debt by spending more "studs" (the game's currency) than they possess. The Connection Between the Games Origin in Dream Game: In Dream Game, the "Mafioso" is a generic enemy type (sometimes known as "Squire") that roams specific levels (like Dying Mall) and "kills" the player, giving them a "Debt Verified" sign on their hat upon respawning. He was an environmental hazard rather than a character with deep personal lore. Popularity in FORSAKEN: The character gained significant popularity when he was included as a purchasable killer skin (for the base killer C00lkidd) in the asymmetrical horror game FORSAKEN.
