why is it Bakugou when he's called Bakugo in the anime

It’s cuz there’s two ways to spell it, sometimes Japanese names can be spelled with a U after an O, for example: Shota = Shouta. Bakugo = Bakugou. Eijiro = Eijirou. Jiro = Jirou. Shinso = Shinsou.
