Chapter 2: The Call Her hands shook as she dialed the only number she could think of: Leo, her boy best friend since middle school. They’d grown up together, him cheering her on at every photoshoot and casting call. The line crackled to life, but instead of his warm laugh, she heard guttural growls mixed with labored breathing.
