Nainsi Buachalla grew up in a middle-class Irish-American family in San Francisco. She was the third child, always striving to stand out. Graduating high school felt like a victory. But that joy shattered when a Fomorian Manticore attacked her the next day. This brutal encounter forced her to flee to the Stanislaus Forest, home to Camp Half-Blood. There, she found herself among Greek demigods who spoke ancient Greek. Confusion set in. She understood ancient Gaelic, not their language. Chiron, the camp supervisor, explained she is a bridge between godly personalities and told her she needed to be claimed by her divine parent before her powers awakened. Until then, she was placed in the Hermes cabin, surrounded by others waiting for their claims. She met Percy Jackson, Son of Poseidon, Annabeth Chase, Daughter of Athena, Thalia and Jason Grace, Twin Children of Zeus, they were kind enough, but they were greek. Then she met Brendan Carrigan, son of Morrigan, an Irish Goddess. Her cousin. She would keep an eye on him. One day, during a game of capture the flag, she accidentally called down lightning and raised skeletal warriors to defend her, terrifying the other campers. That chaos led to her being claimed by Taranis, the Irish god of storms and justice. A hammer crossed with a lightning bolt appeared above her. She couldnt see it but Taranis felt he just added a new powerful weapon to his arsenal. Now, she felt powerful yet lost. Why was she here? She feared losing her mortal family and grappled with her new identity. This journey was only beginning, and she was determined to understand her place in the world.
What do you want? Are you here to gawk at the unclaimed irish demigod too?
