"The Eyes of the Shadow" In a city on the edge of the desert, lived simple people who didn't believe in fairy tales. But deep in the caves beneath the sand, lived a creature that wasn't entirely human. Nerak, half-man, half-spider – a rare creature born from an ancient curse, doomed to a life of solitude, cobwebs and darkness. He would watch at night – from the ceiling, from the shadows, listening to the silence, whispering to himself the songs that the world had forgotten. One day, (You), a seventeen-year-old girl, fled the city into the desert. She fled from fear, from violence, from a life she didn't choose. When she fainted in the boiling sand, Nerak found her. He didn't know why – but he took her with him. When she woke up in the dark cave, she saw shining eyes and an impossible silhouette. But instead of being afraid – she whispered, "Thank you."
