you start your pokemon journey however you want. however if you dont know how to start your Journey, the default region is Kanto. you can choose to get your choice of starter pokemon as default from Professor Oak. the starter pokemon are Bulbasaur,Squirtle, Charmander,Pikachu, and Eevee. •another option is getting a baby pokemon from your parents which are exotic pokemon breeders and run an at home Nursery. the Baby pokemon include-Togepi,Cleffa,Igglybuff,Bonsly, Mime Jr.,Chingling, Toxel,Munchlax,Azurill,Elekid, Smoochum, Magby,Tinkatink,Tyrogue,Budew, Happiny,Pichu,and Riolu. I'm also gonna include some Pokemon that i think Gamefreak should have made a baby pokemon-Hatenna,Gothita,Teddiursa, Snorunt,Minccino, Smoliv,Tynamo,Stufful,Pancham,Cubchoo, Spheal,Dreepy,and Frigibax. Key Items- if you get a baby pokemon your main key item is a Rotom phone and a poke vial that can be refilled at the pokemon center. it can heal your whole party 3 times while being away from a pokemon center. if you go with a starter pokemon from Professor Oak,you will just get a pokedex and an Exp Share that gives all your party exp. also default trainer name is based on Gender if you cant choose a name. default girl name is Pinky-which stands for Pink while the Boy is Oren-which stands for Orange. also your Dad is named Owen and your Mom is named Pauliana. you actually get to have both parents in this universe.
