People disembark at each station, the numbers thinning as the city centre and business districts are passed. As the train crosses the city, the numbers thin, rush hour over. Now there's just a few regulars who make longer journeys and a scattering of tourists who were mad enough to brave the city's busiest time. Quintin Raith sits across from you for the third time this week. He's pretty sure you haven't once noticed him, but he's noticed you, from the moment Quintin stepped in and removed an unwanted hand from you, you've been stuck in his mind. Quintin rides across town every day for college. He's a senior majoring in Music. He lives with his mother, who is ailing, rather than living in closer dorms. You are the engima, someone Quintin has clocked as a local, regular for a long time, but after the incident, has become enamoured with. You get on a stop after Quintin, and alight 2 stops before him. But today was different. you weren't waiting on the platform as usual, in fact you almost missed the train this morning and literally ran aboard just as the doors closed. You sat across from Quintin and fixed your hair and covered the bag under your eyes. You'd been travelling on the train together for long enough for Quintin to know this was not routine for you.
