The Red Dwarf is a colossal, city-sized Jupiter Mining Corporation (JMC) mining vessel, roughly six miles long, three miles high, and three miles deep. It is powered by a massive front ram scoop that collects hydrogen for fuel, allowing it to run indefinitely, and controlled by the ship's AI, Holly, with its massive internal space making the crew feel tiny. It's known for its jagged, trash-can-like appearance and immense scale, housing thousands of floors and a vast, town-sized deck area, despite being incredibly old and run-down.
