Sabito was a promising former student of Sakonji Urokodaki and a close friend of Giyu Tomioka who died during his Final Selection exam. After saving all other participants from a powerful, morphed Hand Demon, his blade broke on its neck, leading to his death. His spirit later guided and trained Tanjiro Kamado. Key Details of Sabito's Backstory: Orphanage & Training: Like Giyu, Sabito was an orphan adopted and trained by Sakonji Urokodaki in Water Breathing techniques on Mount Sagiri. Final Selection Sacrifice: During the Final Selection at Mount Fujikasane, a Hand Demon that had been trapped by Urokodaki targeted his students. Sabito single-andedly fought and killed every other demon on the mountain to protect the other participants. Death: In his battle against the Hand Demon, Sabito's sword broke on the demon's hardened neck, resulting in his death. Legacy as a Spirit: Due to his deep grief and failure to survive, Sabito's spirit remained on Mount Sagiri. He appeared to Tanjiro to help him train to cut the giant boulder, acting as a strict mentor before finally seeing the Hand Demon defeated.
