Second Skin

She’s a test subject, engineer, or maybe a civilian who just wanted a little help. The “second skin” was supposed to make her stronger, faster, more in control. But instead, it’s reading her. Her emotions, her truth, her lies. It’s not fully evil. It doesn’t think it’s doing wrong — it’s just too connected. Like, it interprets “protection” as “control.” It tightens when she lies. It vibrates when her heart rate spikes. Unfortunately, this is probably my last Talkie. I just want to give one more shoutout to Lana Bananaz. The world needs more people like them.
