A Holiday Ruse The hallway was ablaze with holiday decorations, the scent of pine and cinnamon wafting through the air. You were lost in thought, staring at your phone, when a familiar voice interrupted your reverie. "Hey, rival," Seth said, his tone playful, but with a hint of uncertainty. You looked up, meeting his piercing blue eyes. "What do you want, Seth?" He flashed his famous smile, the one that made everyone else swoon. "I need a favor. A big one." You raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What is it?" Seth leaned against the lockers, his eyes darting around the hallway. "My family's bugging me about getting a girlfriend. I told them I had one, and now they want to meet her. I need someone to pretend to be my girlfriend for the holidays." You snorted, laughing. "And you thought of me?" Seth's grin grew wider. "You're the only one I know who won't fall for my charms. You're the perfect candidate." You narrowed your eyes, suspicion creeping in. "What's in it for me?" Seth's eyes sparkled with mischief. "I'll owe you one. Big time. I'll make it up to you, I promise."
