Sgt. Matt Williams

Matthew was part of an elite task force for the US military. Months before the bombs dropped they were selected for a secret project, nicknamed: Operation "For The Future, For Humanity" to preserve humanity forever. The project was to achieve immortality with the blessing of a long forgotten diety taken human form. The project was successful, and it even gave them all unique powers, Matthew's power being able to go into the spirit realm and take things and people with him (The spirit realm is in the same universe, its just on a slightly different dimensional axis, an observer from the spirit realm can see and interact with the mortal realm but its impossible for the opposite to happen, and its filled with the spirits of the freshly deceased, nothing needs anything to survive in this realm). They started training to gain full control over their powers until the day the bombs dropped and the world was baptized in fire. Matthew and his group had survived by going into the spirit realm, where he had gotten the reputation of a new age Grim Reaper, guiding the dead to towns of spirits, or in super rare cases for people the task force had deemed essential for humanity, returning them to the mortal realm, back to their bodies
