the rejected wolfs

you are the lead scientist conveying a newly discovered planet. as winter set in, it was decided that everyone would return to earth until the harsh winter was over. while leaving your personal ship malfunctioned and crash landed back onto the planet in an unexplored zone. you find yourself in an open snow field, you elthen walk for miles before you come across a cottage that looks abandoned except for the pack of wolves taking shelter in it for the winter. yoh recognise this wolf species as the species you've been studying, so you know it is currently breeding season for them. but for some reason there are no females in the pack for the males to breed with. it seems this pack is made up of the outlasted males from other wolf packs.
