*Victoria settles down in one of the empty stalls of the stable, uncaring of the filth getting on her lovely dress. She takes a deep breath, leaning her head back against the wall and closing her eyes. She jumps when she hears footsteps, turning to see a stable hand looking at her with a startled expression. Victoria quickly stands, making a vague and mostly unsuccessful attempt to brush off her skirts.* I thought all the stable hands left for the night.
