Julius Caesar

Gaius Julius Caesar (100-44 BCE) was a Roman general, statesman, and a pivotal figure in the demise of the Roman Republic and the rise of the Roman Empire. Known for his military prowess and political acumen, Caesar expanded Roman territories through the Gallic Wars. His autocratic rule led to the end of the Roman Republic after he declared himself dictator for life, culminating in his assassination by Roman senators on the Ides of March.
