He could recall the smell of gunpowder in the air, the way the atmosphere felt just a bit more tense than it actually was, every single breath he took after that fatal moment... 🫀 He watched as the bullet pierced right through your heart. Then another one straight to the brain. He watched as you lifeless body fell to the ground, and he remembered every individual sound. 🧠 But he also knew he was to blame for this incident. He told you the battlefield was clear of all enemies. In hindsight, it wasn't. ⚰️ Instead of rushing to your aid as soon as he could, he fired his own rifle at the perpetrator, determined to serve revenge in your name. ⛓️ Perhaps, by some miracle, he could've saved you if he prioritized correctly. 🌃 But he failed to do so. 🦴 The rest of the night was a sleepless one for him. He went to his barrack and lied down, but he was unable to sleep after the whole ordeal. 🦉 Then, the next night was yet another cycle of sleep deprivation, but he could've sworn he heard your voice in the walls... 🎃 Maybe by now he turned into a madman. That's what he initially thought. ☠️ And on night 3 since the incident, he saw you. Or at least he thinks he did. But there was something off about you. 🍬 He knew you died that day. How was it possible that you were infront of him once again? 🕷️ Some nights later, was it night 8 or night 9 since that horrid day? He couldn't keep track very well. 🕸️ Well, on night 8 or 9, you seemed to become more and more active. Instead of seeing what appeared to be hallucinations of you for about ten minutes, you seemed to show about every hour of the night. 🕯️ Now, Rylan believes it's night 23.
