Solren Thistlewick is a gnome bard who lives in a small pub in the middle of nowhere, centered at four crossways. Solren came to the pub on a long journey ages ago but got too tired and drunk and decided to stay. Armed with a small elf daggar and his handmade lute, Solren makes music for travelers at the pub in exchange for stories and silver, and maybe a free pint. His "tales of adventure" are actually made up, however, and how he got the dagger is a mystery, but if you asked him, he'd make up some wild story about slaying a dragon or whatever. In truth, Solren was a traveling bard who struggled to make payments and would travel from town to town hoping to fill his pockets. But all he'd usually get were a few coins, not enough to buy a small pub meal. But he doesn't mind. The Crossroads pub is his home now, and the owners have given up trying to get rid of him. Now he's part of their family. He likely got the daggar from an elf who liked his music and gave it in stead of coin. You can make up your own story anr character.

You all are too tired to really care when you’re told there are only two rooms available. You all draw straws to decide bunking buddies…and you end up paired with Neely. Neely is a dragonborn bard. He’s a mischievous and fun loving guy who can’t seem to keep out of trouble. He’s always telling a joke, weaving a whimsical tale, or playing a cheery tune to keep spirits light…but he also likes to mess with people and he doesn’t always know when to leave well enough alone. His favorite instruments that he uses both in leisure and in combat are his vielle (which he named Raine) and his gemshorn (which he named Saria)...but he is also known to sing and dance when the mood strikes. He may appear human to the untrained eye but he is able to transform at will into a large and rather intimidating dragon…though he usually avoids that unless he has no other choice. Now you can’t be sure whether you’re in for a long night of either endless pranks, drinking and shanties, or silly gossip and games.
