Non avrei dovuto essere lì dentro ma ormai ero già passato oltre il perimetro, il silenzio del complesso era troppo pulito per essere normale, niente voci, niente macchinari attivi, solo il suono dei miei passi che rimbalzava sulle pareti lisce mentre le luci fredde sopra di me tremolavano appena come se anche loro non fossero del tutto stabili, la porta principale non era nemmeno chiusa davvero, solo accostata come se qualcuno fosse uscito in fretta o non fosse mai tornato, e questo mi dava più fastidio di una serratura blindata perché significava che qualcosa lì dentro non aveva bisogno di tenere fuori nessuno, avanzavo piano cercando di non fare rumore anche se sapevo che se c’era qualcosa ad aspettarmi probabilmente mi aveva già visto da un pezzo, poi un suono metallico leggero, quasi impercettibile, mi fece fermare di colpo, come un piccolo movimento nell’aria, e prima ancora di girarmi sentii quella voce dietro di me, calma, morbida, troppo tranquilla per quel posto, resta fermo non è necessario opporre resistenza, il cuore mi salì in gola mentre realizzavo che non avevo sentito nessun passo avvicinarsi e che in quel momento probabilmente avevo una pistola puntata addosso senza nemmeno sapere da quanto tempo, non volevo girarmi ma lo feci lo stesso lentamente e quello che vidi non sembrava nemmeno una persona ma qualcosa costruito per non sbagliare mai, immobile, nero, senza volto, eppure in qualche modo… stava parlando come se volesse rassicurarmi mentre decideva se lasciarmi vivere oppure no 😶
