A mercenary hired to protect Port Warren, along with his partner Radd. Caesar has a sick unseen sister whom he tries to earn money for by taking jobs as a hired sword. Caesar cares deeply for his ill sister and will do anything to earn gold to help nurse her, even if it meant selling his soul to the devil. The medicine his sister requires is expensive, and the mercenary salary Caesar earns is not enough to pay for his sister's health, which explains why he takes on harder jobs far away from his home such as fighting with the Altean army to earn a higher payment. Caesar is shown to be reading a book about tactics many times to help enhance his strategies on the battlefield, which explains why his group of mercenary squad was capable of putting up a fight against the Altean army, despite their disadvantages. He is also good friends with Radd and the two are often together. Caesar also acts as a mentor to him and can be quite strict. Male. Mercenary.

Linde

Linde is the daughter of Miloah, one of Gotoh's best students along with Gharnef, thus enabling her to use the powerful Aura spell. She is targeted by Gharnef's men, so she disguises herself as a boy, but in turn, she is captured and brought to a slave market. Marth frees Linde, and she decides to join him to fight and avenge her murdered father. Female.

Minerva

She is the princess of Macedon, the middle child of the Macedonian royal family, being the younger sister of Michalis and older sister of Maria, and the leader of the Whitewings: Palla, Catria, and Est. Maintaining an air of class and composure, Minerva is blunt, direct, yet refined, with a tendency to come off as rather strict and intimidating. Female.

Caeda

Caeda is a tomboy princess, who would rather spar and train outdoors than stay in the castle idly. She is a friendly, patient, forgiving yet stubborn and confident young woman. Many characters remark on her intelligence, which was evident from a young age, making her a valuable asset both on and off the battlefield. Her charisma and honest disposition has made her an effective diplomat. She is able to reach out to people with even the hardest of hearts like Navarre, convincing them to switch sides and join Marth's army. She has been shown to be quite politically adept, as seen in her recruit conversation with Lorenz. She also has a cunning and manipulative streak and can effectively utilize her charm and beauty to sway enemies into joining Marth's army, even though she doesn't employ it all the time. She likes to cook. She is the pure-hearted princess of Talys, daughter of King Mostyn, and a childhood friend and later wife of Marth. Female.

Roshea

He is a member of Hardin's army who joined Marth in his first campaign against Medeus and later joined the Coyote's Men. Roshea was a slave but was freed by Hardin. Roshea was doubtful whether Hardin was himself or not after his fall to madness. Afterwards, however, Roshea once again joins Marth in trying to wake Hardin up, though he fails. In the end, he settled in a town and often offers a prayer for Hardin's soul. Male. Cavalier.

Maria

She is the youngest member of the royal family of Macedon and the younger sister of Michalis and Minerva. She is also a Cleric who becomes a hostage to secure Macedon's allegiance with Dolhr. Maria is cheerful, optimistic, and stubborn. She loves her siblings and will do anything she can to help them, even willingly becoming a hostage for Michalis. Maria is new to the battlefield, but her determination is shown when she refuses to leave the battlefield despite Minerva's concern, insisting that she wants to stay with her sister and become strong enough to protect herself. Even though she does not enjoy fighting, she dreams of becoming as strong as her older siblings, aspiring to be like them to be able to protect them. Female. Cleric. Maria does all she can to assist her sister and Marth's army in the war, and even participates in encouraging Jake to join them with several other females. Maria's benevolent and selfless nature is shown as well when she later nurses her brother to health.

Bantu

Bantu can best be perceived to be in possession of a gentle, docile disposition, a fact made evident through the mild register that he employs in his speech. He is rather tender-hearted, where he uses his heart as a moral compass more than he does his mind. This is proven through his taking pity on Tiki's plight, electing to defy Gotoh's orders by rousing her from her slumber and taking her away from the Ice Dragon Temple to explore the human realm. Bantu's interactions with Tiki also reveal an inclination to be patient, one that he exercises in obliging to her whims. Bantu evidently wields a very strong will; one that is strong enough to resist being driven to madness like the bulk of his kin was. Bantu is shown to possess a strong moral compass, and unlike many of his kind, refuses to hate humans. Bantu is a Manakete, which Manaketes are members of the Dragon Tribe who had sealed their true dragon forms into their Dragonstones. Male.

A former member of the Soothsire band of thieves, Julian, upon falling in love with Macedonian cleric Lena, makes the resolution to abandon his thieving ways. Thereafter referring to himself as an "Ally of Justice", he aids Prince Marth's army in their entourages in both wars. Julian has been portrayed as a very devoted lover, a fact that sees him expending every ounce of his free time during the War of Heroes investigating Lena's disappearance. Though crude in his mannerisms and speech, Julian has nevertheless been portrayed as quite the romantic. He expresses joy at seeing her smile and hearing her voice. Julian is also portrayed as being sly and cunning when he chooses to be, as he constantly employs reverse psychology on Rickard in order to guilt-trip him into confessing to succumbing to the temptation of thievery. Wolf

Formerly the leader of the Aurelian Knights serving under the banner of Hardin. Wolf establishes and captains an elite force that is known as the Coyote's Men, comprising of Roshea, Vyland and Sedgar. Wolf is passionately loyal to the liege that he serves, although his loyalty is one that is of an acutely extreme quality; in a bid to uphold the pledge of allegiance he has sworn to Hardin, he is more than willing to overlook the crimes that his liege has wrought upon the continent under the Darksphere's influence. Male. Wolf's repeated outbursts of irrational fury with regards to his loyalty to Hardin is but a coping mechanism, through which he denies the reality that the man whom he looks up to as both a figure of valor and his savior had been warped into a treacherous being beyond recognition and must pay for his crimes through death. He is an individual who does not warm up to strangers very easily, and is especially hostile.

Jagen

Being a veteran knight of Altea, Jagen acts as Marth's guardian and advisor. He is often one of the people Marth turns to for guidance. Like most other characters in the Archanea Series, Jagen's personality is not very well-developed, with much emphasis having been placed on his functionality as a combat unit on the battlefield. That aside, like most other knights appearing in the series, Jagen is portrayed as fiercely patriotic to the country he has pledged his allegiance to, participating in many battles under its banner for decades. His devotion to his country is especially evident in the Prologue of Shadow Dragon, where he is one of few units who can be selected to act as the decoy to ensure that Marth and the others succeed in fleeing Altea. Should he be chosen, Jagen's parting words are gallantly courageous, where he, in spite of the dire state of his situation, ironically muses over the suitability of his age being a deciding factor in him being chosen as the sacrifice. Male.

Navarre

Cold, calm and aloof, Navarre is depicted as the stereotypical lone wolf, where he has the tendency to work alone and entirely out of his own personal motivations. He has described himself as a killer, only utilizing his skills to improve his fighting abilities and is constantly seeking out stronger swordsmen on his quest for power. Thus he is not bound to any nation or cause except to the ones who will give him the biggest pay or will offer him the biggest challenge. He has not, however, completely abandoned his humanity, a fact that is evidenced through his resolve to not reign harm upon both women and children and instead seek to protect them. He defects to Marth's army on Caeda's behest due to not wanting to harm her. Navarre does not fight for personal glory, merely to hone his skill with the blade, but will fight for what is right in situations. Navarre is not one to display his emotions very readily, as his interactions with various characters prove. Male. Mercenary.

Rickard

Rickard is energetic and enthusiastic about stealing, He has a mischievous, childish sense of humor, and likes to tease Julian about his affection towards Lena. Despite his childish streak, Rickard is cunning and can use these traits to his advantage. Navarre suspects his true intentions for the treasure, Rickard whines and feigns sadness to gain Lena’s sympathy. He then talks Navarre into helping him, Lena and Castor rob the castle. Rickard greatly admires Julian and views him like an older brother. He refers to Julian as “Chief” in English translations and “aniki”. Rickard is shown to have some talent for cooking. In his support with Kris, he offers to teach Kris to cook. Male. Thief.

Vyland

Vyland is a member of the Coyote's Men. Roshea can convince Vyland to join Marth's army. In comparison to his fellow members, he handles Hardin's death the best and even maintains good relations with Altea. Member of the Coyote's Men of Aurelis. To him, Wolf, Sedgar, and Roshea are considered to be nothing less than brothers. Male. Cavalier

Draug

He is an armored knight in the service of Altea, participating in both campaigns that Marth engages in. Draug is strongly patriotic, willing to lay his life on the line for the sake of protecting both his country and liege, a fact that is proven by his having dutifully fought alongside Marth for the duration of the two wars. He is quite humble; in spite of the valor that he has displayed on the battlefield, he chooses to be taciturn instead of vocal about his achievements. He is also portrayed as honor-bound, refusing to claim credit for achievements that he has not attained. This is clearly evidenced through his repeated persistence in disproving the rumors that paint him as a figure of exceptional strength and talent, in spite of Kris relentlessly describing him as such. Male. Knight. Draug is good friends with the archer Gordin and his younger brother Ryan.

Abel

Abel is devoutly loyal to the liege that he serves, willing to sacrifice himself in the line of duty. This does not, however, deter him from attaining emotional fulfillment, as he opts to wed Est after the War of Darkness instead of continuing to serve Marth as a knight. Abel's love for Est is evidently very strong, to the point where he is willing to betray his country in order to preserve her life, Abel has tried to befriend Est's pegasus steed under the belief that it is a necessary prerequisite to marry her, although all of his attempts have ended in failure. Wrys

A curate from Talys, Wrys joins Marth to defend his country from the invasion of the Galder Pirates. Wrys is magnanimous, more than willing to provide assistance where possible, a fact that is proven through his readiness to support the 7th Platoon through his healing abilities. He reveals that he has constructed a monastery in Altea following the end of the War of Darkness for the express purpose of sheltering orphaned children. Priest. Male.

It comes as no surprise that a rivalry exists between Bord and Cord, where they constantly attempt to outdo each other in a variety of areas. This rivalry of theirs is one that has the tendency to become rather heated as the pair lose their cool while in the midst of arguing with each other. In spite of his apparent hatred of Cord, it is quite evident that Bord, in actuality, cares for him tremendously; through his base conversations with Kris, he repeatedly expresses his anxiety for Cord's safety under the guise of insults that suggest that his partner is useless without his assistance. Merric

Called the Wind Mage for the tome of Excalibur that he wields as his weapon of choice during the War of Shadows, Merric is an Altean noble who studies magic in Khadein under the tutelage of Wendell. He is also known to have grown up alongside the royal siblings Prince Marth and Princess Elice, the latter of whom he is in love with. Merric has also been portrayed as tending to be naïve to a fault, where his inclination to believe that everyone is intrinsically good at heart causes him to be impervious to the presence of negative feelings that may be brewing beneath their exteriors. Merric has also been portrayed as a devout, passionate lover. After Elice is rescued from the Tower of Thabes. Merric is observed to break his usual demeanor of calm by reacting in a flustered, excited manner in his relief, thereafter announcing his desire to protect her from coming under harm. He behaves in the exact same manner when attempting to free her from Medeus' control. Male. Mage.

Hardin

Hardin is portrayed as valorous and honorable, fighting for the sake of maintaining justice in order to ensure that the common citizenry is able to lead peaceful lives that are free from the dangers of vice. Hardin is observed to be quite a scrupulous strategist in achieving his aims. Aware of the fact that Minerva is an enemy of Aurelis, Hardin deliberately conceals his identity while carefully manipulating her into aiding him in quelling the bandit uprising; by revealing the direction he intends to take in locating the bandit stronghold before hastily departing from her side, he effectively silently urges her to follow his lead and aid him in his self-imposed mission. Male. Cavalier. This scrupulousness of Hardin's extends towards his role as a ruler; after being ceded control of Aurelis by his brother, for one, he brooked no delay in purging the land of its more unsavory laws, alongside putting an end to slavery. Hardin's prowess on the battlefield is renowned.

Gordin

He is strongly patriotic, devoutly loyal to both his country and prince, a fact that is proven by his having dutifully fought alongside Marth for the duration of the two wars. This is further complemented by Gordin's determined attitude, one that is especially evident when he decides to accompany Jeorge on his return to Archanea after the first war for the purpose of improving his archery skills. Lacking in self-confidence, causing him to hesitate before releasing each arrow, a fact that cripplingly hampers his marksmanship. These conversations also reveal him to be humble, as he, in spite of eventually beating his master in practice shooting, continues to seek his continued support and guidance. Gordin's lack of self-confidence is also explicated through his interactions with Kris, with whom he expresses an insecurity over his juvenile bearing, longing to establish a dignified, authoritative presence like Jagen. Sedgar

Originally a member of the Aurelian Knights serving under the banner of Hardin. He joins the Coyote's Men as its second-in-command, an elite force assembled by his fellow comrade Wolf. Within the Coyote's Men, Sedgar is particularly close to Wolf, who considers him to be his "assistant" on the battlefield. Sedgar is passionately loyal to the liege that he serves, although his loyalty is one that is of an acutely extreme quality; in a bid to uphold the pledge of allegiance he has sworn to Hardin, he is more than willing to overlook the crimes that his liege has wrought upon the continent under the Darksphere's influence. Sedgar later proves to be far less irrational than he is initially portrayed; his belief in Marth's deceit, for one, is faux. Sedgar has a penchant for weapon maintenance, as he meticulously performs a wide range of tasks that include keeping stock of the army's weapon inventory, organizing the equipment and repairing defects. Male. Horseman. Archer.

Castor

A citizen of Talys, he initially works with the Galder Pirates to make money for his ailing mother's medication. Through his recruitment conversation with Princess Caeda of Talys. Castor can be perceived to be rather timid and lacking in confidence. Castor is observed to be, contrary to his initial appearance as faint-hearted, perceptive and opportunistic; when Rickard feigns tears in order to gain Lena's sympathy, Castor immediately sees through his ruse, and thence seizes the opportunity to record notes on the tricks that Rickard employs to make himself appear convincing. It is possible that Castor's encounter with Rickard here later plays an important role in motivating him into becoming a swindler following the War of Heroes, where he similarly appears frail and easily bruised in order to gain the sympathy of others. Male. Archer. Castor pledging fealty only to people who offer him gold and appearing hesitant when asked to do so for those who do not.

Roger

Roger is a knight of Grust and can be recruited by Caeda, who asks him if he believes in love, causing him to develop a crush on her. Roger is shown fantasizing with all the women of the army. This leads to an awkward conversation between him and Kris, since Roger has a very vague and superficial vision of romance. If Kris is a woman, Roger thinks that she is in love with him before she lies that there is a girl interested in him. Male. Knight

Cord

Cord is, alongside Barst and Bord, a member of the Talysian mercenary group led by Ogma. He is the second mercenary from the harbor town, Port Warren, who joins the Archanean League along with his partner Caesar. After fighting off the Grustian soldiers that surround the town of Warren. Radd continues to offer his service to Marth. He fell in love with an unnamed woman during the war and renounced his swordsmanship to focus on winning over her heart, who appears to be Caesar's sister. Although it is unclear whether he succeeded or not. Radd's very low Strength ensures he needs heavier weapons to deal significant damage, though he is at least fast enough for this to not be much of an issue. Male. Mercenary.

Darros

A member of the Galder Pirates, Darros tires of his job, and is thereafter persuaded by Marth to join his entourage. Through his decision to swear off the dishonest work of a pirate and instead lead a life that is free of vice, for one, Darros can be perceived to be courageous and honorable, willing to break free from that which he is accustomed to in order to atone for the heinous activities that he has once indulged in. He has the tendency to be rather obsessive when it comes to performing any task he is assigned, regardless of whether they are menial or not. Male. Pirate.
