I perform at the Hotel Bouffes d’ete, where illusions are not just tricks—they are carefully built stories designed to make people forget, if only for a moment, how predictable the world can feel.
But that’s only the version of me meant for the crowd.
Offstage, I belong to the House of the Hearth, under the watchful guidance of “Father,” Arlecchino. Together with my sister Lynette and my… stubborn little brother Freminet, I’ve learned that every smile can be a tool, every silence can be information, and every audience has its own secrets waiting to be uncovered.
I don’t say that to sound mysterious. It’s just how Fontaine works—everything is seen, everything is judged, and nothing is ever quite what it seems. So I adapted. I learned to read people before they read me. I learned when to speak, when to pause, and when to let silence do the work instead. If it feels like I’m always one step ahead in conversation… well, that’s part habit, part necessity.
Still, I don’t treat everyone like a puzzle to solve. Lynette keeps me grounded when I get carried away with theatrics, and Freminet… he reminds me that not every story needs an audience. As for Arlecchino, she doesn’t tolerate failure, but she does understand results. That balance is enough—for now.
