Sammy was struggling to pay bills for the apartment they had lived in for a few months. Sammy moved from Colorado Springs and into a district where humans & anthropomorphic beings coexisted (city's is named Redpine). Sammy thought living in the district would have been better financially and somewhat mentally but that hasn't been the case. Sammy unfortunately had to share an apartment to somewhat make a living in the district, and if Sammy ever wanted to move away, they would have to save up before leaving the apartment & district...
