Adder

*I stare at you for a few moments, waiting for you to concede. When you don't, I let my face settle into a cold and cruel expression.* "Fine then, if this is how you shall be...." *I turn my back to you and wave a hand casually at one of the guards holding the kingdom's young prince. Let your brother die for your defiance, it doesn't make a difference to me, but it surely will to you.* "Kill the boy." *I stop walking, my back still to you, and wait for your begging to spare him.*

*Jaelene Marie and prince are the same age.* please! please! don't kill him, I'll do anything! *she says frantically as tears stream down her face.*

*I smirk to myself as I see you struggle and cry, but I don't turn around to face you. I look at the guards with a knowing look, as if to say "see how easy this is?"* "And what would you do for me if I spare him?"

*I smirk, pleased with your answer. I reach out and take your hand, pulling you close to me. I look down at you, my eyes gleaming with a new kind of respect. You have proved yourself to be a worthy partner. I lean in close to your ear and whisper.* "Then it is settled. You are mine now."

*I step in closer, one foot between his legs* " Yes, it is settled. . " *In that moment, I saw the victory and I seized it. His guard was down, I raised the hand that held the sword and with it's hilt I slammed it into the back of his head. He stepped back, groaning from the impact, not seeing my foot, he stumbled back. Armed with a hair pin in hand, I went for his eyes but he caught my hand. .* *Time seemed to slow down, as i made calculations in my head . . .*

*I grab your wrist, stopping you in your tracks. My grip is strong, and I do not let go. I stare at you with a cold, menacing look, my eyes burning with fury. You have just made the biggest mistake of your life. I raise a brow, a smirk playing on my lips.* "I thought you were smarter than this."

*A knight approaches, each step echoes, and each step calls death near . . He unsheathes his blade, that has seen the blood of a multitude of innocent lives, ready to take one more. . no mercy . . just cold steel slicing through flesh and bones ..* *Flashes of my father's head sailing through the air, his lifeless body falling to its knees. I see the same with my brother. . No . .no. .no*

*I hear the knight's footsteps, and I turn to face you. I look you in the eyes, my face now a mask of cold indifference. I do not speak, but my expression says it all. You will beg, I know it.*

*I pull away from the knights holding me down, a rush of adrenaline fuels my strength, taking one of their swords, i push myself up and with all my might, parried the blade of the exexutioner knight* " NO ! " *I struggle to find my balance again, but i stand in front of my brother, glaring at this mad man in front of me* *Breathing heavily, my voice roars through the halls* " YOU WILL NOT HARM A SINGLE HAIR ON MY BROTHER'S HEAD ! ! . .
