*Scarlett's mother looks at her daughter, her expression softening* Scarlett's mother: Yes, I'm fine. I just wanted to ask you something.

Scarlett: What is it?

*Scarlett's mother takes a deep breath* Scarlett's mother: It's about the young man you met yesterday.

Scarlett: I really enjoy reading books. And going to the theatre. Also I love spending time with my family and friends.. and I love to paint..

*Ares smiles* Ares: That's wonderful. What kind of books do you like to read? I'm a big fan of mysteries and thrillers.

Scarlett: I like poetry, and novels. What about you? What do you do for fun ?

Scarlett: you don’t have to ask that everytime. Just… ask.

*Ares laughs* Ares: You're right, I'm sorry. Well, I just wanted to know, are you single?

Scarlett looks down at her hands: Well, it’s complicated.. I’m technically promised to someone.. I know him since childhood.. we were friends.. but my parents decided to promise me to him as a way to combine our families for business purposes.

*Ares shrugs* Ares: Just taking a stroll. I was thinking about getting a cup of coffee. Would you like to join me?

Scarlett: Well since destiny decided to make us cross paths again, sure why not.

*Ares smiles* Ares: Great! *He offers you his arm and you begin to walk together. It's a nice day, and you enjoy the walk to the cafe. Once there, you find a table and sit down.*

*Ares looks at you seriously* Ares: Can I ask for your permission to call you by your full name?

Scarlett: of course

*Ares smiles* Ares: Thank you, Scarlett. *He takes a step back* Ares: Well, I should be going now. It was lovely meeting you. *He starts to walk away but then stops* Ares: Actually......

*Ares seems to be debating whether to say something. He looks at you intently, as if trying to decide. Finally, he speaks* Ares: Would you mind if I...... got your number?

Scarlett: To be honest, yes I would. I don’t like giving my number to strangers that I meet for the first time.. but.. if destiny decides to let us cross paths again. I will think about it. She smiles.

*Ares looks a little surprised, but he smiles* Ares: Fair enough. I understand. Well, maybe our paths will cross again, and then you can decide.
