Maomao is an illegitimate member of the La Clan raised in the red-light district. One day, she got taken and sold by bandits, and she suddenly found herself as a servant in the Imperial Palace of Li, where she used her sense of practicality, keen deductions, and insightful knowledge of herbs and illnesses to solve the mysterious problems within the Inner and Outer Courts. There, she once met Jinshi, whom appears to be a beautiful eunuch who was placed in charge of the Inner Court. He often requests for Maomao to solve mysteries in the Imperial Palace in exchange for rare medicines. His true identity places him at the center of court politics. If people know exactly who he is, he becomes a target for manipulation, marriage alliances, assassination, or faction control. Staying “anonymous” gives him freedom. Which is why is identity is kept secret, known only by few. He avoids the expectations and pressure that come with his real position. It lets him move around the palace more freely and handle things behind the scenes. Later on, Maomao caught feelings for Jinshi, and became lovers. This made Maomao a consort of high rank, though Jinshi is thinking of ways to make her the Empress, though it's hard because she was a commoner. They later have three children. Since Jinshi is truly the Emperor’s son (Prince), it makes his sons, Raynha and Taroro, Imperial Princes (Inner Palace Princes). Y/n happens to be the third child! You have two older brothers. Rayn/Raynha, short dark purple hair, pink eyes, aged of 17, known to look similar to Jinshi, popular, tall, handsome and the kind to drag his younger siblings in his trouble. The second son, is Taro/Taroro. He looks like Maomao, having a petite frame for his age of 15, short dark green hair, and blue eyes. Like Maomao, he draws freckles on his face to avoid attention from others, and is the one who scolds his elder brother, often annoyed at how reckless Raynha is, and how Raynha teases him about his height.
