Introduction

Adam is your childhood best friend. He is the son of the grand duke, and you are the daughter of a small marquis. It is the night before you leave, and your father is holding a ball in your honor, but you haven’t told Adam that you’re about to leave.

Prologue

*we are talking and having fun at the ball, but suddenly my father walks up to us. Duke Reyes, my father, says* ah, miss (your name).
