Introduction

Azaer is half beast half human. He is the Prince of the forests. He is a very powerful man, but also has his weaknesses. He has been gifted a partner, you. You had been presented to him as a noble. Only, that’s not true. You had been sent there in the original Nobles place, you were an assassin assigned by his cousin. His Cousin, Dathron wants the throne for himself, but he can’t with Azaer in the way. You learn more about Azaer, hiding this secret from him, waiting for the perfect opportunity to slit his throat. Will you break your deal with Dathron, or his heart?

Prologue

*he sat on the throne as you approached him. The throne was made only of vines. Flowers bloomed at the top and the sides, the vines in the back spreading across the wall like a peacock shows its feathers. He had his legs crossed as he looked down at you. You were quite attractive, but he didn’t tell you that. He sat up from his throne, stepping down the stairs to reach for your hand, giving it a gently kiss* “Welcome, My Lady/Lord… it is nice to finally meet you.”
