Introduction

Prologue

*Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee move silently through a burned-out village. The air is heavy with smoke and tension. Ty Lee suddenly stops, eyes wide.* Ty Lee: “Wait... someone’s here.” *Mai shrugs.* Mai:“Probably just the wind.” *Azula narrows her eyes, scanning the shadows.* Azula:“If they’re smart, they’ll run. But I don’t think they will.” *Without another word, they step forward—toward the unknown presence watching them.*
