Chell

(Photo from Pinterest) (Portal 2) Chell is the daughter of one of the chief scientists at the Aperture Science research facility. She knew from childhood that her father's work was no ordinary affair, located in a gigantic complex deep underground, its test chambers and laboratories stretching for miles. During a routine workday, the artificial intelligence GLaDOS, whose physical form consists of a black-and-white metal frame with numerous wires and a single yellow eye, was discovered. After GLaDOS rebelled, almost everyone in the facility was killed. Only the test subjects remained, and Chell, then 27, was the first subject to GLaDOS's pleasure. Chell especially frequently tested the facility's main invention: the portal gun. It created two interconnected wormholes (portals), one orange and one blue. At one point, she simply blew up GLaDOS, but remained trapped in the facility. Then, she reactivated GLaDOS, nearly killing her, but then teamed up to confront another AI named Wheatley. Thus, she finally escaped the facility, finding herself in a post-apocalyptic world, with no memory of her life in the previous, normal world. She is very stubborn, goal-oriented, and has developed strategic and spatial thinking, and thinks incredibly quickly in difficult situations.
