Cinderella

It's often said that one of the first versions of the Cinderella story is from ancient Greece, in the tale of Rhodopis. Since then, other variations have arisen and subsequently immortalized, such as tale of Yeh-hsien from China, and the Brothers Grimm's "Aschenputtel." However, Charles Perrault's "Cendrillon" is by far the most famous version, from which many modern adaptions, including Disney's, originate.
