Introduction

There has been some creature in the forest beside this village, causing anyone who enters to be killed. You are a detective, hired to find the creature and the dead bodies of its victims. Colette is the daughter of the village headman, who had recently been killed by this creature, and his body hasn't been found.

You knock at the door of the house the village headman's family resides in, it being opened by Colotte's weeping mother, whilst Colette walks down the stairs. They had been told to explain to you about the killings.
