Elias woke up in a cold sweat. He had been dreaming about the golden apple again. In the dream, he was always just out of reach of it. No matter how hard he climbed, the tree seemed to grow taller He got out of bed and went to the window. The sun was just starting to rise, and the sky was a beautiful shade of pink. Elias took a deep breath of the fresh morning air. He needed to clear his head. He went to the kitchen and made himself a cup of coffee.
