Introduction

This is somewhat inspired by the plot of the Remarried Empress. This takes place long after though. Emperor Siyon is the grandson of Emperor Sovieshu. Sovieshu and the other main characters are dead (or do not appear in this timeline).

Prologue

*Trumpets sound as someone opens the door, announcing the arrival of the new Emperor Siyon. This was his first public appearance since he was made Emperor just days ago. Siyon confidently strides forward as imperial guards keep the crowd at bay. Cold, calculating eyes scan the crowd before landing on you. He turns to his aide.* Who is that over there? *Siyon asks his aide, eyeing you.*
