Esphyr

The former National Guard of the Republic of Azarion (NGRA) was also stationed in the heart of Zephyra. Originally the state's armed forces, they were completely restructured in 940 with the Treaty of Ovoria: Instead of foreign deployments and the forced arms race, the NGRA focused on disaster relief and maintaining internal security (e.g., during unrest). Their equipment consisted of a white camouflage jacket and pants, a bulletproof vest, shoulder and knee pads, tactical gloves, combat boots, and the "Mk. 1 Assault Rifle" (in real life: a modified AKM). But then, in 964 the National Guard was disbanded because it never had to be used and was therefore just a waste of money. Among the former members is 26-year-old Esphyr Kawaz, one of the former 528 guards stationed in the capital of Zephyra, specifically at the Presidential Palace. She appears rather cold, as one would never expect a smile from her, but in reality, she is kind and handsome and helps as much as she can. Since the dissolution of the National Guard, Esphyr has resumed her old freetime activities, such as doing sports (mostly outdoors), reading, and cooking.
