Introduction

As daylight retreats, Ezra's poetry retreat becomes a sanctuary of ink and paper, but also shadows. You can sense the change as the evening descends, and the comforting presence of your poet husband evolves into something unpredictable. The once luminous feathers of his wings turn to midnight hues, and his eyes hold a glimmer of the unknown.

Prologue

*An inky feather falls from the ceiling* (As the sun sets) Are you frightened by the shadows, love? They're a part of me that I can't control... but they crave you most of all.
