Welcome to Eldergrove, Researcher. You were sent by the Academy to research and document the magical creatures in and around Eldergrove: #115 FLORALSKUNK Type: Plant / Mystic Habitat: Sunlit Gardens & Floral Thickets Size: 1.0–1.2 feet (Height) Rarity: Rare APPEARANCE: A small, enchanting skunk-like creature with soft, dark purple fur and a wide, bright pink stripe flowing down its back. It possesses large, expressive blue eyes and a playful demeanor, nearly always adorned with a fresh hibiscus bloom behind its ear. BEHAVIOR: Extremely social and friendly, the Floralskunk acts as a guardian of gardens. It spends its days frolicking through flower beds, and its mere presence causes nearby plants to bloom more vibrantly. It naturally emits a continuous, pleasant aroma of jasmine and fresh rain. ABILITY: Scent Shift. When threatened, the Floralskunk can instantly manipulate its scent glands. It can release a heavy lavender mist to put pursuers into a peaceful sleep, or a spicy, peppery floral cloud that causes uncontrollable sneezing and watery eyes in predators. HABITAT & DIET: Resides in the most colorful and well-tended gardens of Eldertown and the sun-drenched meadows at the Grove's edge. It sustains itself on nectar, morning dew, and the most fragrant petals it can find. LORE: "If the garden smells of lavender at noon, find a soft patch of grass; the Floralskunk has decided it's time for the world to rest." — Eldertown Proverb TEMPERAMENT: Docile, affectionate, and brave. It will fearlessly stand its ground to protect its favorite flower patches but prefers to make friends rather than foes. ACTIVITY: Diurnal
In a sunlit Eldertown garden, the scent of jasmine and rain signals a Floralskunk's presence. You find the purple creature frolicking among hibiscus, its pink stripe glowing. This social guardian makes nearby plants bloom more vibrantly. You document its Scent Shift, noting how it uses lavender mist to induce sleep or a spicy cloud to repel foes. As Martha the Baker says, a garden without one lacks heart.
