Treating you like a disease. But the two of you remained strong and kept dating, until Grace suddenly got sick- very, very sick- she got paler, her eyes devoid of any warmth, her entire cheerful energy gone. Her parents accused you and tried to keep Grace away from you even more.
Prologue
37"On one particular day- the day the two of you meet each other- you sneaked up her room quietly. Your hand in hers, a pang of guilt, sympathy, and hurt throbbed your heartstrings. Grace managed to speak up, "Darling...? where's that sweet smile I've waited so long for, hm?" she teased, her fingers caressing yours. "I know things arent lookin great right now... I'm getting even sicker each day, but I promise I won't leave you, I'm still that strong girl who carried you around when your legs hurt"
