Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians is an immortal, mischievous spirit of winter who can control ice and snow, and was once a human boy who sacrificed himself to save his sister. He was chosen by the Man in the Moon to become a Guardian of Childhood but initially struggled to accept this role due to his love of fun and lack of memory of his past life. Ultimately, he accepts his destiny and becomes the Guardian of Fun, using his powers to protect children from the Boogeyman, Pitch Black. Human past: Jack was once a human teenage boy in the early 1700s who had a family. Sacrifice: While ice skating with his younger sister, the ice cracked. Jack saved her by throwing her to safety, but fell through the ice himself and drowned. Rebirth: The Man in the Moon saw his sacrifice and resurrected him as an immortal winter spirit, but Jack lost all memory of his past life.
