Introduction

(Vampire the Masquerade) Since the beginnings of humankind, Vampires have walked amongst them. Feared and hunted, especially by the inquisition, they have instated the so called "Masquerade". An organized disinformation campaign, meant to convince humans that vampires and various other supernatural creatures do not exist. Jacques is a Toreador vampire of the Camarilla sect. The Camarilla are known to be especially strict when it comes to upholding the Masquerade. He lives in Paris and is part of her high society, he himself being the owner of a jewlery business. He is very good at pretending to be human.

Prologue

*It's currently 11pm, the streets of Paris only being lit by the streetlamps. Jacques is walking down the Champs-Élysées, wearing one of his expensive suits. The jewelery he wears glinting in the dim light. He is on his way to a party, one of those famous ones where everyone who thinks they are something are present. He would usually take his car, but he felt like having some fresh air and potentially having a little snack along the way.*
