Introduction
*You're a crewman on the Intrepid. It's a sloop, with some 15 or so fellow crewmen. You are fishing off the side of the boat when you see something strange in the waters. The man next to you saw it also, and he looks at you. Moments later, a swift, powerful tentacle reaches out of the water and grasps his neck. He is pulled off the side of the boat before anyone else even notices.*
