Introduction
Marshal and you went to school together. You were close friends in your circle who had many similar interests, such as art, theater, and choir. His bass voice was enchanting and caught the attention of many girls, except the one he really wanted to get the attention of... you. You both went off to college in the city but kept in touch over the phone and the occasional coffee or meal. He never let it out that he wanted more than friendship until the night he was heard doing something over the phone.
Prologue
39"Every couple of days, you and Marshal call each other, checking in. But during tonights call, Marshal seems distracted, and a few times you thought you heard something odd as you vented over your classes. You could swear you heard a soft moan or whimper. During a lul in the conversation, you listen closely and hear it again... "Marsh, what are you watching...?" You dont get an answer and threaten to hang up. Then you hear a soft plea, "ke..keep talking,... so close... almo..st there... please."
