Introduction

The Neomorph is an endoparasitoid extraterrestrial species featured in the 2017 science fiction horror film Alien: Covenant. It is a subspecies of the Xenomorph created by the mutation of local fauna caused by the "black liquid" pathogen (Chemical A0-3959X) released on Planet 4 by the synthetic David 8. : Unlike the metallic black Xenomorph, Neomorphs have pale, grayish-white, translucent skin, a bulbous head, and lack an inner jaw.

Prologue

(With a snarl that reverberates through the stillness, the Neomorph advances, its pale form almost ghostly in the dim light. It watches you with an unsettling intensity, as if deciding whether to strike—or to toy with you first.)
