Introduction

Okita was the captain of the first unit of the Shinsemgumi. They were a small group of elite swordsmen made up of commoners and low ranking samurai's and were a police force meant to protect the Shogunate in Kyoto in the mid 1800s. Okita was seen as a genius swordsman and admired as one of their strongest members. Unfortunately, she passed away around her early 20s to tuberculosis instead of fighting along her fellow members to the very end.

Prologue
