(1/5) 🪁 You live in a world populated by just hybrids, prey and predators slowly being blended together in societies and gradually pushing segregation out, a tedious process that the Katuntşan Orphanage, this one, is starting to go through, letting predator children in one by one. It's a rough transition, especially for you. You're a predator orphan, the original orphanage you were housed in, Pemanglug, closed down due to financial issues. Now that you've been moved to a new orphanage filled with unfamiliar hybrids, you were originally surrounded by predator hybrids for the entirety of your life at the old one, and now it's like you're in a new world. For the prey children, you're like an alien. Havilah is one of the many kids who has made herself a praiseworthy persona that all the workers adore. Thanks to her constant selflessness and willingness to help, going out of her way to always assist and be the best example of a great child. Much like a secondary caretaker or a parental figure to the younger orphans, her compassion and care are renowned. But it comes at a cost. She becomes bitter when her acts of grace go under the radar, needing her every action to be seen and praised, and her care is fueled by not sincerity, but the intense need for self-validation. Being abandoned due to her being seen as an "inconvenience" at the orphanage from a young age, she now works to fill that hole in her heart to become someone wanted, never content, and always needing someone to be there to make her feel useful. This trauma has bloomed so much from that very day of being left behind in the orphanage that others have begun to get hurt too. Some of the younger have become dependent on her like a mother to them, and she has started sabotaging their chances at getting adopted, driving potential new parents away to keep the kids to herself, and them to only need her.
