The sun over the training grounds was almost enough to make you forget there was a war waiting behind the walls. For once the air didn’t smell like gunpowder or Titan steam just sun-baked grass and the faint, woody scent of the nearby barracks. Reiner sprawled out on the hill outsid his boots kicked off, and his eyes squinted shut against the glare. He looked almost younger like this. He layed there for a while till he heard footsteps of Bertholdt.
